Dayton, OH: Summer Extended Family Session

I can’t stand how beautiful Ohio summers are! The flowers, the grass, the skies! It’s like a garden day dream being able to shoot at all of the MetroParks in Dayton. Every single Febuary I dream of warm weather and wonder why for the 100th time we’re out salting the driveway, but then I remember come summer the high season will bring this kind of gorgeous views. I also 10000% recommend taking all your favorite women out for a Mother’s day session. How sweet it is to be able to highlight motherhood through so many generations!

Client Tips!

Lets talk about dresses! They are absolutely my go to look for photos. If you’re not a dress person, no biggie! But I’m always going to love a flowy look, no matter what season it is. For your session keep a few things in mind.

If you are going to be doing activities like sitting, running, jumping; is your dress a comfortable length that you’re not worried about showing everybody what color underwear you have on? Make sure when choosing a style of dress it works cohesively with the other members of your session. Sometimes a fabulous dress steals the entire look of your photos, instead of making you look coordinated. And lastly, when working with multiple people in your group first start with a color pallet then move to patterns. All 4 dresses shown above have a pattern to the fabric, but because the solids mute the patterns and the patterns pull colors from the solids, IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY!
