Cincinnati, OH: Branding Session

What a fun morning in the studio getting so many unique headshots! The worst part of moving so very often is having to eventually leave behind such great venues. Every time I’m in this space it makes me a little sad to think about not being able to use it as my go to spot.

We utilized almost every piece of furniture, outfit option, and ran out the clock all the way to the last second to make sure there would be so many different options for my client to use in her small business social promos. So much of our lives now exist online so why not make sure you have the best images of yourself to promote your projects.

Client Tips!

But what do I do with my hands?

Not your problem actually! The best part about hiring a professional is it’s their problem to figure out where your hands are supposed to be. When you’re in front of my camera my goal is to make sure you are moving your body. Jumping, spinning, or grabbing onto your pretty dress. This is WAY easier to accomplish when you’re in a group of people or have little ones running around. A little more tricky when it’s just you. It may feel performative, but the more you are moving the less focussed you are on what your limbs are doing. If you can create a natural movement at the same time the camera clicks the final image looks more genuine and less posed. Easier said then done sometimes because it can feel awkward to let yourself have the space to let loose. If you feel silly, that’s ok! Do it anyway!
