Dayton, OH: Senior Session
I have ben on a Senior kick this year! And I’m absolutely loving it. I heard once that graduating high school always feels like the beginning for the senior, but for their family it’s a moment to see their childhood officially come to an end. And that feels like a knife in the gut doesn’t it! But what a moment to be able to capture images that sit on the fence between being young and having the journey of the rest of your life waiting for you.
Client Tips!
Lets talk about glasses. Sometimes without even knowing, wearing prescription lenses or really any reflective eyewear can pose a little tricky for photography. Glass creates glare, reflection, and even unpredictable shadows on a face. So what do you do? An easy answer is just take them off. But if you’re like my Senior here, he has always only worn glasses and are specific to his identity. So removing them isn’t true to who he is. Your next thought might be, well why can’t you just photoshop out any issues that the glasses cause behind on the eyes? Which is actually half the answer.
The real trick is to take 2 photos. One with your glasses and one without. You do this as seamless as possible so when your photographer is editing after your shoot your skin and eyes behind the frames will look unobstructed. Is it extra work? Absolutely! Sometimes more than some photographers are prepared for, however if you don’t remove the glass you can be left with a green glare in which you can potentially remove the green but that unfortunate glare will be stuck on top of your eyeballs. So if glasses are an important part of your look and ability to you know, actually see, make sure your photographer is prepared for any tricky lighting around this specific accessory.
