Cincinnati, OH: Fall Family Session
Can you believe my A team clients are back again for another fall family shoot! This is what it must feel like when you live somewhere for a long time, your people just keep coming back for more! There’s nothing sweeter as a creator to have someone return year after year to use your services. It is the highest compliment you can receive. It was even almost the perfect night to be out catching the last rays of fall. Ohio has a very small window between warm fall sunsets and dreary, blistering cold winter nights. It will come out of nowhere and then poof, your outdoor photo season is over!
After we wrapped up and headed out of the park for the evening, I spotted 2 deer grazing out in the pasture next to our cars, which now I know was just mother nature giving me a big fat warning! 20 minutes later I totaled my car. Deer season when the sun has hit twilight can be deadly, and I had my own personal tussle with a deer that decided it wanted to take a nap on top of the hood of my SUV. Thankfully I was driving slow enough I wasn’t hurt in any serious way. I did have a fun ride in an ambulance, got to hear some other fun deer stories, and I hear a mini van is in our families future.
Client Tips!
Alright lets chat about deer. Our family has lived in 6 different states around the US and there has not been a single place where deer have not been a roadside danger. I’m not a wildlife or car crash expert, but so many fall family sessions are right at prime “deer jumping in front of you” time. So before leaving the house make sure your vehicle is prepared for any emergencies that can occur if you’re out in a particular area where wildlife can pose a risk to your ability to return safely home.
