Being in front of the camera by yourself is hard! Seriously, you’re a one man show and for most teenagers (especially the boys), it can be the first time they have to “preform”. Senior sessions are special because it’s a time to highlight their childhoods but also their next chapter. So having a photographer run a consultation before shooting is a great idea!
Ask if your photographer has a senior questionnaire or a way for you or your child to express what their photos need to mean beyond just a headshot. Many graduates are a part of sports teams, musical or art ventures, or worked very hard for their first vehicles. Being able to highlight and show off what they worked so hard for as teenagers is a special way to remember what they valued in their later adolescence.
